Abstract
An LED print head is the solid type light source by which the light scanning was electronized. Taking advantage of this feature, the LED print head has been used for high speed and a broad printer from the former. The high density, the high speed, small size, and low-cost technology in which an LED print head was needed as a write-in light source of a color printer were developed with colorization of a printer.
This paper describes the structure of an LED print head, and its characteristic focusing on the LED device technology which is the key technology of determining high density, high speed, small size, and low-cost.
