Abstract
Océ announced Océ VarioPrint 6000 Ultra line in 2009. This is a black & while production printer, up to 314 A4 image per minute. Productivity is more than just speed alone. For a customer the only thing that counts is the amount of jobs he can produce in reality. Therefore, productivity can be seen as the sum of throughput/speed, quality, reliability and ease of use. Océ developed Océ Gemini technology from Copy Press technology which is their core technology for decades. Gemini Instant Duplex enables high speed B/W duplex print, very high front to back registration accuracy, and less paper jam. The Océ PRISMAsync controller is now Océ's common controller platform for all printers, black/white and color. With its new technologies and unique features, Océ VarioPrint 6000 Ultra Line let them see new applications transferring from offset to digital printing, and transaction print.
