Abstract

Ricoh MP C2503 is one of the full-color multi-functional printer (MFP) series : Ricoh MP C6003/C5503/C4503/C3503/C3003/C2503/C1803.  These printers are developed on the concept to be user-friendly and eco-friendly.  The lowest Typical Electric Consumption values in this segment (22% less than conventional value) and the fast recovery from sleep mode (9.1sec) are achieved by a fusing technology and mechanical improvement.  As a common technology in the series, DH fusing method, Smart position motor, and paper path control are shown in this report.  Staple-less staple technology that, which is a brand-new finishing system in this industry, is shown. Using this technology, continuously printed papers are bound without metal strips at a time. So it is a distinguished system in safety and recycling efficiency.
