We have developed new video camera system for home use using the new type CCD equipped with progressive scan read out in addition to regular interlace scan. Single chip CCD with characteristic color filter allay and newly developed luminance/chrominance process circuits can realize higher resolution and less moire-suppressed picture quality. Consumer end-users can enjoy new multi-media type of video camera with both functions of still camera and video camera.
