Recently digital compression technique is used for broadcasing, DVD(digital video disk) and SNG(satellite news gathering) system. MPEG2 is the most popular and effective method to compress the video and audio signal and multiplex them. Toshiba has developed MPEG2 encoder and decoder. Thie paper presents overview and feature of them.
