The digital terrestrial television broadcasting(DTTB) will start in 2003 in Japan, and the DTTB has adopted the OFDM transmission. The link budget is calculated based on the bit error rate to realize the DTTB. Gaussian Noise is used to obtain the bit error rate, but the noise in the city is impulsive and its amplitude probability density is not Gaussian distribution. In this Paper, the influence of the impulse noise on OFDM transmission is mentioned and BER improvement using non-linear amplifier is described.
