22-7 An advanced On-line Learning Environment Using Virtual Studios

Abstract

We propose a new on-line learning environment using virtual studios located in distance. We connected three studios, where teachers and students were in each, with MPEG video networks. They shared a same virtual space in the lecture video. Other students could watch the video stream distributed on multicast networks. We made a lecture of archaeological studies and assessed it with the methodology for the subjective assessment.
