抄録
The 3/4MTR coded PRML system for perpendicular magnetic recording using double layered medium is studied. The BER performance is obtained by the experiments using a spin-stand system, and it is compared with that of 16/17 MTR coded PRML system. The results show that the 3/4MTR coded PRML system exhibits a good performance.
