Abstract
This paper presents a new depth from defocus method using two differently focused images, one of which is focused on near object, and the other on far object. By producing additional blurring effect on each object using linear filters and then by comparing the difference of their frequency components, we can determine depth layers. Experimental results for the scene with two depth are shown.
