Abstract

A synchrotron radiation microangiography system with spatial resolution down to 6 μm was developed using a high-speed X-ray shutter system and an X-ray direct-conversion type detector incorporating an X-ray SATICON pickup tube. Microangiographic imaging in isolated perfused rat hearts was carried out to observe small coronary arteries.
