Abstract
We have developed a 35-μm-thick New-Super-HARP film that can be used for the red channel of an HDTV color camera. A significant design feature of this film is that the thickness of the LiF-doped layer, which decreases the electric field around the interface area, affects the occurrence of image defects and the photoconversion efficiency. Through our experiments, we determined the most appropriate film thickness and fabricated a HARP film suitable for the red channel. Using this film, we have also developed a highly sensitive HDTV color camera.
