3-5 Improvement on Colorization Accuracy of Monochrome Image by Setting Partitions

Abstract

Colorization is a computerized process that adds color to monochrome images. In this paper, colorization accuracy is improved by setting partitions which can prevent wrong color propagation at edges. Furthermore, a color difference criterion in CIELAB color space is newly introduced for more accurate colorization.
