7-1 TV4U : PC-based Television System Covering Production, Circulation and Reception

Abstract

We have been studying customizable TV called TV4U (TV for You) that allows a user to enjoy tailor-made TV programs in an interactive way. In the TV4U, all the TV programs are made at the user site using CG and synthesized voice and so on. To enhance our concept, we propose a new TV system based on PCs and network. With this system, any individual can make TV programs in a very easy way and release them by just one click, and then any individual is able to watch those TV programs freely stored on the network server.
