6-2 Study on high speed mobile reception with diversity receiver using one symbol channel estimation

Abstract

In mobile reception of digital terrestrial broadcasting, receiving performance is deteriorated because of channel estimation error caused by receiving level fluctuation under multipath fading environment. We have proposed the diversity reception system using channel estimation by each symbol to improve receiving performance at high speed mobile reception, and experimental results show that the proposed diversity reception system is able to work stably at the 100Hz of the maximum Doppler frequency under the typical urban area propagation environment.
