8-1 A new trigger system for capturing ultrahigh-speed images

Abstract

We have developed a new trigger system for an ultrahigh-speed camera. This system generates a trigger signal that notifies a timing of taking picture with detecting a brightness change of the object. To detect a brightness of the object without receiving influence of the background light, the system illuminates a frequency-modulated light and detects only the modulation frequency component of the reflected light.
