抄録

We propose an efficient mode reduction method for H.264/AVC High Profile encoding. Our method adopts different RDCost thresholds for each slice type, and eliminates computation time for more complicated coding modes. As a result, up to 71% of processing time is reduced with negligible picture quality loss.
