10-2 Field Experiments of Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting Reception in an Interference Environment Caused by Multipath outside the Guard Interval : Experimental Results at Northern Area, Tochigi Prefecture

Abstract

In this report, we show the field experimental results of digital terrestrial broadcasting reception in an interference environment caused by multipath outside the guard interval. To combat the delay spread over the guard interval, we use channel equalizer that performs a fast Fourier transform (FFT) on 4 OFDM symbols in combination and equalizes the multipath distortion in frequency domain. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the channel equalizer.
