This paper presents the world smallest solid state power amplifier (SSPA) for Ku-band satellite applications which operates 80W output power that satisfies -25dBc of a third-order intermodulation distortion (IM3). The SSPA can be divided to two units for ease of transportation, though having a total size of 22.8L only. The final stage of SSPA is applied six gallium nitride (GaN) high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs) are combined.
