抄録

We have developed new visual perceptual extraction of gloss parts from an image by Multiscale Retinex applied technology. We confirmed that our technique could properly extract the parts which a human subjectively feels as gloss. Our technique achieved better results than a gloss part extraction method based on dichromatic reflection model.
