The bright and wide field-of-view (FOV) displays of future TV systems can strongly stimulate human peripheral vision, which is sensitive to flicker. For temporal specification of future TV systems, we measured the critical fusion frequency (CFF) in 26 participants, using varying luminance, duty ratios, and FOVs.
