Beam Hardening Correction to Aluminum-Casting CT Inspection by Photon Counting CdTe Detector

Aluminum die casting has been widely used in industry field. On the other hand, die castings can have cavities inside the casting and impregnation is implemented as a countermeasure. We applied photon counting CT system and beam hardening correction using energy information to evaluate whether the impregnation is adequate.
