Abstract
The CCD imaging unit described in this paper consists of a one-eye case, a CCD imaging chip, some peripheral circuits die-bonded with a ceramic base, and an optical lens attached to the CCD imaging chip. To provide digital CCD raw data outputs, the imaging unit requires only a power supply unit and some input synchronizing signals. The imaging unit has many possible uses because it is extremely small and thin (17.5×17.5×9.8 mm) and does not require any specific optical or electrical adjustment. It can be used in such things as personal-computers, personal digital assistants.
