Abstract
A new continuous tone full color direct thermal recording system named"TA"(Thermo-Autochrome) system has been developed. The TA system uses the TA paper which has three recording layers, each corresponding to yellow, magenta and cyan color forming layer wherein a color image is formed in situ. After each color development by thermal head, each layer is fixed by decomposing a diazonium salt compound remaining in each layer by UV light except the cyan layer to be processed finally and located innermost. The TA system does not accompany any waste such as an ink ribbon or an ink cartridge. This is one of the main advantage of TA system over current conventional hardocopy systems.
