Abstract
For downsizing of video camera optics, we developed an unprecedented optical filter (UCFD) having the combinatorial functions as luminous efficiency filter (LEF) and optical low pass filter (OLPF), which was made of synthetic resin. This filter had the trapezoidal grating cross section on the surface of the LEF. The light transmittance and the optical low pass function of the UCFD with 1 mm thickness were same as those of the device composed of quartz OLPF and the glass LEF, which had more than 3 mm thickness. In this presentation, the characteristics and the production process of the UCFD are discussed.
