This paper is concerned with a finite volumn time domain (FVTD) method for electromagnetic wave propagation in H-Type two dimensional tunnels. This method is based on the volume integrations of the Maxwell's equations with respect to a small rectangular solid cell. The electromagnetic fields in the rectangular solid cell are expressed in terms of the tangential electromagnetic fields on its surfaces, which are interpolated by the former fields of the adjacent two cells. It is possible to solved the boundary value probrem of arbitary shape which contains an inhomogeneous medium. It is found that numerical and experimental results are in good agreement regarding the electric field intensities in the tunnel.
