We introduce speech synthesizer for weather forecast program which has been used since april 1997.Four PC cards are used in this system, about 1500 syllables of wether information are prerecorded. The small computer controls these PC cards to transmit weather forecast announcement automatically. Though several syllables are switched and connected together, on air sound is very natural. We use this system on early morning and midnight programs. We believe this system to be useful for blind persons.
