Abstract
We have developed a virtual exhibition system for art works. The system displays images of art works on a Hi-Vision monitor viewed from various perspectives (horizontally 0〜360° and vertically 0〜90°), which can be controlled by the viewer. The system consists of a personal computer, a Hi-Vision monitor, and user interfaces. Images are stored in a hard disk after JPEG encoding, and are read by a non-linear processing technique in accordance with a viewer's manipulation of the track ball.
