Abstract
We have fabricated a QD-based wavelength-tunable light source for the 1-μm optical-waveband; a self-seeded InGaAs/GaAs QD FP-LD with a tuning range of 4 THz. The fabricated laser operation was investigated in the transmission over 1km HAF and clear eye-opening patterns were successfully demonstrated with respect to 2.5Gbps for various wavelengths in the 1-μm band.
