Abstract
This paper describes the properties of an optical modulator that uses three-step cascade modulation scheme for multi-channel signal modulation. First, the paper examines computer simulations of the value and distribution of distortion. Next, distortion and carrier-to-noise characteristics were calculated for the frequency of new signal set between from 13GHz to 35GHz. The calculation clarified that it was possible to conform with the standard when the frequency of new signal was more than 25GHz.
