Abstract
This paper describes an improved two-stage charge transfer pixel for low-noise global shutter imaging and dual global shutter. In the proposed pixel, low noise level of 2.7e- and high shutter efficiency of 99.7% is attained by dual doping pinned diodes, shielding structure and stepwise potential. Proposed dual global shutter operation enables attractive functions such as wide dynamic range imaging, motion detection and dual consecutive snapshot imaging.
