The strength of sense of immersion positively correlates with vection strength

We examined the relationship between the degree of sense of immersion (one aspect of our human personality) and visually induced self-motion perception (vection). A psychological experiment with radially expanding patterns that induced self-motion perception was conducted, followed by an assessment of the sense of immersion. The participants rated the applicability to just four simple questions. We found that vection strength correlated positively with the degree of the sense of immersion.
