7-8 Automatic Crack extraction from an image of the face of concrete wall

Abstract

This paper proposes a method of automatic crack extraction from a concrete wall image by using Mathematical Morphology. Our method uses four structuring elements suitable for crack shape to extract crack image. We verify the effectiveness of the method on some experiments.
