We investigated the visual fatigue characteristics of LCD-TV viewers under different viewing distances and different display luminance levels. Subjective visual fatigue increased and grating visual acuity decreased when the subjects viewed the LCD-TV under the condition of extremely high display luminance and too short viewing distance.
