Abstract
This study proposes a mathematical model of retinal ganglion cells considering peripheral characteristics to evaluate the influence of miniature eye movements. Simulation results show that microsaccades enhance the response of M type ganglion cells at some distance from central fovea. This indicate that microsaccades play important roles in peripheral perception.
