This paper proposes a flexible block-based intra prediction method for image coding . In this method, prediction coefficients for reference pels surrounding the current block are calculated pel-by-pel based on the mean value coordinates. In combination with geometric transformations, it enables various types of inter and extra polative prediction.

In this paper, an image noise in the digital cinema is analyzed at first. Based on this analysis, we propose the image super-resolution method from digital cinema to ultrahigh definition television. The proposed method separates the digital cinema into signal and noise components by the spatio-temporal Wavelet analysis, super-resolves these components respectively and synthesize them.

We propose an image restoration algorithm using Kalman filter theory with colored driven source. This algorithm aims to achieve high quality image restoration method for blur and noise distance from the canonical space state models with (i) a state equation composed of original image, and (ii) an observation equation composed of the original image, blur, and noise. The remarkable feature of the proposed method is realization of an image restoration without sacrificing image quality despite simple image restoration using only Kalman filter.

While the spectral shift depending on the viewing angle were observed in OLEDs with SiO_2(50nm)/SiN_x(70nm)/SiO_2(100nm) barrier layers, we found that the spectral shift of OLEDs with SiO_2(50nm)/SiN_x(40nm)/SiO_2(35nm) barrier layers could be suppressed for the viewing angle change.
