2-13 ACMOS image sensor with 2 step SS-ADC and error correction function

Abstract

In this paper , we propose a circuit of 2 step SS-ADC for image sensor and a digital filtering technique to reduce the thermal noise by exploiting the comparator transition patterns. By computer simulation, it is verified that the digital filtering effectively improves the accuracy by 1.27-bit compared with the raw data.
