In this paper, we propose an exterior-point approach for finding feasible solutions of the reduced-order output feedback H-infinity control problem and show its application to the mixed H-infinity/D-stability control problem. The advantage of our approaches is to be able to use a non-stabilizing controller as an initial point. Numerical examples show the efficiency of our approaches.
