Abstract

Department of Robotics and Mechatronics, Tokyo Denki University, aims to cultivate and produce mechatronics engineers, and provides classes in Mechanics, Electronics, Control and Information. Classes in control are designed consistently to have those topics; modeling, analysis, design, simulation and experiments. MaTX, a free software providing a programming language like C for numerical and symbolical calculation in science and engineering fields, are matched to what the department aims to do. This paper shows some real applications of MaTX to education in Mechatronics in our department, and gives some comments and discussion on advantages and effectiveness of utilizing MaTX in education.
