Abstract
This paper discusses the experimental results of reduced scale proposed model using MFC connected to the bottom flange at both ends of the beam. The capabilities of MFC of exciting and sensing vibration are shown. Moreover, active vibration control system is designed by applying MFC's both functions. The vibration of the beam can be reduced to one third.
