Abstract
We have developed a simulator to evaluate the ability of a factory painting diverse-types-and-small-quantity parts by using Plant Simulation. The part hangers are set up to the conveyor at constant intervals and are moved by it through the painting booths in the factory. Some hangers are sent by an empty load for securing the time of the paint exchange when the colors of the parts are different. We confirmed that we could faithfully model part-painting lines.
