Abstract
A patterning technique of heterogeneous cells is required to elucidate cell-cell communication. The objective of this research is to develop an array of micromanipulators which allow for cell patterning. Microhole array, function as a cell holding site, is connected to a flow channel. We captured and ejected a cell by switching the pressure on this section from negative to positive. We studied the capture and ejection process of cell and examined an appropriate pressure. The cells were placed on a well array, and we show the usefulness of patterning technique with the proposed device.
