Abstract

In this study, a high thrust electro-magnetic proportional valve actuator with a few poles was designed and tested. The dimensions of this actuator were varied, thrust and electro-magnetic characteristics were examined by Finite Element Method analysis and experiment. As a result, it became clear that the thrust force of this actuator was above 2 times as large as that of conventional solenoids.
