This study aims to estimate an engine torque, an in-cylinder pressure and an amount of intake in a cylinder accurately by applying a crank angle. An air intake system model is added to an engine model consisting of a piston-crank dynamics and a combustion process. The states are estimated applying the unscented Kalman filter based on the derived engine models. An error of peak values of the engine torque and the in-cylinder pressure are reduced as compared with one. An effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through comparison between numerical simulation data and measurement data.
