Abstract
Masticatory dysfunction is prevalent among nursing facility residents due to the use of illfittingdentures. Addressing this requires effective, low-burden solutions for in-home dental visitswhere clinical resources are limited. This case report presents a case of successful applicationof the clinical remount technique and artificial tooth occlusion adjustment to demonstrate itsefficacy as a rapid, short-term intervention for improving masticatory function in a facilityresident. The study demonstrates that the clinical remount technique swiftly restores chewingability when applied adequately, affirming the practical utility of this technique as an essentialand effective therapeutic intervention within in-home geriatric dental care.
