Abstract
This article reports on a Spanish cultural exchange event organized by the Koen girls’ elementary school and Seisen University. At this event, based on their own ideas, the university students introduced the Spanish language and culture to the elementary school students. The elementary school students actively engaged with the university students, giving them an opportunity to learn from each other. Collaboration is important between different institutions, such as elementary schools and universities, to enable students to experience different cultures and to appreciate the meaning and nuances of learning different languages.
