Abstract
This paper reports on the collaborative learning practices during the Chinese and Chinese affairs classes conducted at a Japanese high school. The author conducted collaborative learning sessions involving Japanese students and students with Chinese heritage. During the class, the students were assigned a performance task on the topic of “differences in awareness and behavior of high school students in Japan, China and Taiwan regarding breakfast”. From the reflection sheets completed by the students, we can observe positive answers about collaborative learning and a deeper understanding of the diversity of Greater China.
