Abstract
Framework of Reference for French Language Learning in Japan is a set of guidelines for building lesson plans for French as a foreign language. In 2019, we created a model of L2 vocabulary and grammar learning, integrated into this Framework. French lessons based on this Framework were planned and taught at four high schools. By analyzing the data collected at each school, we sought to address the following two questions: 1) Is our model for L2 vocabulary and grammar learning effective? 2) How are lessons based on this Framework assessed by high school students? The results showed that practices proposed by our model of L2 vocabulary and grammar learning were effective, and that lessons based on this Framework were appreciated by high school students.
