A Logit Model of Cargo Flow of International Ferries and RORO ships between Japan and Korea/Northern China

Abstract

ABSTRACT : In this analysis, we developed a logit model to estimate the cargo flow of international ferries and RORO ships between Japan and Korea/Northern China by each region and export/import. Although the model doesn’t reproduce some regional cargo flow of international ferries and RORO ships, we developed a logit model that reproduces cargo flow of international ferries and RORO ships. And we confirmed that this model is useful to analysis of the cargo flow when a new international RORO ship line was opened.
