Abstract

In addition to its long history of over 60 years, the Prince Chichibu Memorial Sports Museum has experienced two relocations to temporary storage facilities in the last decade. This has resulted in a confusing situation in the management of the museumʼs collections. The museum has now designed a multi-modal database that can be operated simultaneously by multiple databases, and can achieve unified information management, while maintaining the existing collection management methods, and formulating an organization method that is sustainable and adapted to on-site operations. In this paper, we would like to introduce the existing situation and the current status of new collection management operations, and introduce the method by which this system can be flexibly integrated into data with various histories, and data created in different ways can be gradually integrated while being taken over.
