Abstract
Objective: To examine actual support for reflection of nursing practice by leading nurses and mutual changes between
supported nurses and supporters from the perspective of Senge's learning organization. Research collaborators: Eight
nursing managers at leadership positions who supported reflection in two hospitals at University A two or more times.
Methods: A semi-structured interview was performed based on an interview guide, and a verbatim transcript was analyzed qualitatively and inductively with reference to M-GTA. Analysis results: Two core categories, 〈a place to talk about nursing with confidence〉 and 〈searching for nursing together〉, 8 categories, and 30 concepts were extracted. The reflection supporters at leadership positions showed involvement focusing on "understanding and utilizing positive feedback" and "reducing the mental burden" of nurses, with the aim of providing a place for talking about nursing with peace of mind. Conclusion: As support for the reflection of nursing practice, it is required to provide support that enables each nurse to be aware of deeper reflection and gain learning, and the organization needs to have a bird's-eye view that leads to the learning organization.
